1/ Why is there a need for a Personal Alarm Wristband given that there are many other existing products on the market?
There are several good personal alarm products on the market. However almost all have one feature in common: they have to be carried or kept in a way that can make it difficult to use them quickly in an emergency, especially for the elderly. Those that are in the form of key chains typically require a handbag to carry them or trousers/ jeans pocket. Others need to be hooked to the trousers/ jeans belt loop.

Given today's lifestyle where we like to just get off the sofa and head for the door with little more than a smartphone in hand, such devices do not lend themselves to easy alignment to our lifestyles.

Furthermore, in an emergency (or perceived emergency) the person remains worried about the time and effort it would require to take the device out of the handbag or pocket, and activate it.

6/ Alarm Duration
With healthy batteries, once activated, the alarm will continue to sound, and the LED light will continue to flash for around one hour.
